West Marine Launches Megayacht Service
West Marine, Inc., is creating a Professional Captain's Services Division, headquartered in the company's Fort Lauderdale superstore and dedicated to supplying large yachts worldwide. The new division will be managed by Thomas "Charlie" Petrosa, formerly a West Marine regional VP and, for the last two years, a consultant to the megayacht industry.
Fort Lauderdale is an exceptional location, with the tri-county waters of Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach being home to roughly 1,500 of the world's growing fleet of more than 3,800 yachts greater than 75 feet.
