The market is showing increased interest in well-designed, well-crafted daysailers, and designer Doug Zurn’s response is this handsome yacht, which should appeal to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life. It made its debut at the Newport International Boat Show. The yacht’s spacious cockpit has plenty of room for friends and family and full headroom below. There’s an enclosed head, and the galley, which is directly across to port, has refrigeration, a microwave, and a stainless-steel sink with a 60-gallon water tank. Two facing settees in the main cabin embrace a good-size centerline table, and there is space all the way forward for an optional V-berth. Both main and jibsheet leads run aft to electric winches that are mounted on either side of the cockpit just forward of the helm station. A shoal-draft keel draws just under 5 feet, allowing entrance to most gunkholes without causing a ruckus.
