Catalina Morgan 440

According to designer Gerry Douglas, the Catalina Morgan 440 combines modern (not trendy) looks and robust cruising features to make sure prospective owners will be properly equipped for comfortable offshore cruising or a lazy daysail. The cockpit is sheltered behind the deck saloon. The large anchor locker is separated from the rest of the boat by a watertight bulkhead. The rudder is on a partial skeg. The high bulwarks are a good safety feature, and the standard Leisure furl in-boom furling will appeal to shorthanded crews. Other features include enormous tankage (117 gallons of fuel and a 55-gallon holding tank), a legitimate work room, and a sizable engine room. The accommodations plan features centerline bunks, lots of stowage space, and deck-saloon windows that provide excellent visibility from the saloon table.
