Three years ago Imray-Iolaire chartmakers recompiled their Virgin and Leeward Islands charts, redrew them digitally to make them more accurate in terms of the datums on which they are based and republished them as Metric editions. Although all Imray-Iolaire charts are based on official charts they also contain a much information gleaned over the years by Don Street. A lot of inshore detail that appears on Imray charts is not shown on official charts.

Imray is now working on their Windward Islands charts and will republish them at the end of this year and Street hopes that anyone having new information about the shorelines of Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines will contact him at streetiolaire@hotmail.com.

Next year Imray-Iolaire charts that run from the Virgin Islands all the way to Grenada, Barbados and Tobago will be available electronically and in a PC-based format from Imray. Charts for Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean are available now on 5 CDs, each with generous raster chart coverage and fully functioning GPS software. The format is competitively priced and needs little more than loading onto a PC and then hooking up to a GPS.
