Hall Spars Buys Matrix Masts
Rhode Island-based spar maker Hall Spars & Rigging has acquired the New Zealand firm Matrix Masts. The Auckland-based company, which produces high-end carbon fiber masts and booms, has a growing list of projects and will now use Hall’s mandel-molded seamless carbon technology. It is now called Hall Spars & Rigging and becomes Hall’s second overseas manufacturing plant; the company bought the former Proctor factory in the Netherlands six years ago, and also has a service facility in Italy.
