Hunter Marine sales and marketing director John Peterson has been presented with the SAIL Magazine Industry Award for Leadership.

At a ceremony held during the Annapolis sailboat show, SAIL publisher, Josh Adams, praised Peterson’s contributions to the industry.

Since he joined Hunter in 1994, Peterson has presided over the company's steady growth and has helped revitalize the brand’s line-up of boats from 14 to 49 feet. He has also been an important member of Sail America, the sailing industry association whose mission is to promote the pastime. He has served as boat show chairman and president, and currently sits on the board of directors.
