Tickets are on sale now for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco. The event will be “the most accessible America’s Cup in history for spectators,” says Stephen Barclay, CEO of the America’s Cup Event Authority.

Spectators will be able to watch the racing from three separate locations. In Marina Green is America’s Cup Village, the largest, most centralized land-based grandstand seating, with unobstructed views of the Bay and starting line, live race commentary, and stores and exhibits nearby.

The “Liberty Ship Experience” gives a “50-yard line” view from the decks of the SS Jeremiah O’Brien, a National Historic Landmark ship from WWII.

The PIER 39 Rooftop Lounge offers open bleacher seats and a lounge area with views of the entire race course, live race footage and commentary, and gourmet food and drink options.

Spectators can also purchase individual tickets or charter an Official Stake Boat or Support Boat for on-the-Bay viewing. Various price levels and capacities are available.

America’s Cup Park will be the hub of activity for both sailors and non-sailors during the Summer of Racing. Construction is beginning on America’s Cup Pavilion within the park. What will be San Francisco’s first outdoor waterfront concert venue will host the America’s Cup Concert Series, family shows, community and business events, comedy, and race activities and viewing sessions.

The park will also be home to team bases, interactive exhibits, food and drink courts, and shops with different teams’ gear. Dock-In and Dock-Out shows will open and close race days.

Admission to both the park and village is free. Waterfront hospitality chalets, membership to the America’s Cup Club, and an opportunity to upgrade your on-water experience can be purchased separately.

The 2013 America’s Cup will kick off with an opening ceremony on July 4. Racing begins on July 7 with the Louis Vuitton Cup to determine who will challenge the current America’s Cup Defender and culminates with the Finals in September.
