A new adventure begins for Nanni thanks to a partnership with the famous SV Delos, whose YouTube channel is followed by thousands of sailing enthusiasts around the world.

The family of sailors, known for sharing their maritime adventures, cultural discoveries and moments of life at sea, have been sailing for over 10 years aboard their catamaran “Delos” – a 53-foot Amel Super Maramu purchased in 2008.

After sailing more than 85,000 nautical miles, exploring 45 countries and 6 continents, they came up with the Delos 2.0, an aluminum expedition catamaran specially designed to explore every corner of the globe.

Their new project, the Delos Explorer 53, built by the Stradbroke Yachts shipyard in Brisbane, Australia, is designed to be the ultimate long-term cruising vessel, offering the perfect balance between safety, comfort and performance.

With the support of our official distributor in Australia, Nanni Australia, we were able to set up and develop this partnership. Their support and active participation have been instrumental in driving this project forward. Thanks to this collaboration, we are equipping their future boat with a powerful hybrid propulsion system, combining a NANNI N4.80 engine and two 25KW electric motors.

This project symbolizes Nanni’s commitment to promote innovation and drive towards a sustainable transition in the marine sector. By partnering with SV Delos team, Nanni aims to inspire the next generation of sailors and adventurers, while highlighting the quality and reliability of its marine engines.

A partnership celebrated at the Annapolis Boat Show, from October 10th to 14th 2024, where SV Delos was present on the stand of our American distributor, Kraft Power Corporation and Just Catamarans, to discuss sailboats, engines and adventures. The event was an opportunity to showcase this new partnership to boat owners, collaborators and sailing enthusiasts, as well as to the Delos family audience. They were able to explain their new project and their choice to power their future boat with Nanni, who accompanied through their technical expertise and support in terms of energy and motorization solutions.

Through their videos, Brian Trautman and his wife Karin Syrén, share the construction of the Delos Explorer 53. After completing the boat’s FLIP, a symbolic moment that transforms the boat’s hull from upside down to right side up, and marks a crucial step in the construction of their new adventure, the Delos 2.0 project takes shape. You can follow the exciting progress of this construction on their YouTube channel, where the Delos family document each step with passion and detail.
