Four Seas has reimagined their dinghy concept in the just announced Fore Runner, a more tactical, durable, and sporty take on their previous RIB. The design brief called for a dinghy that was for more than trips back-and-forth to the dock, a craft that could set out on its own adventures.

The hull has been re-engineered using German Heytex material and has welded rather than glued seams for improved durability and UV resistance. Previous models had stock oarlocks, but on the Fore Runner they have been replaced with Railblaza mounts for accessories like rod holders, fillet tables, spear gun racks, and drink holders.
At the end of the day, all it takes is four minutes to deflate and pack up the rib, and improved travel and accessory bags make for convenient storage.

Preorders are available now, but the Fore Runner will debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February and Palm Beach International Boat Show. The first launch comes in Four Seas’ most popular sizes: the 290 (9ft 6in) and the 340 (11ft 3in). All ribs come with a travel bag, accessory bag, oars, bench seats, pump, and repair kit
