A few times per year I get out all my kit and go through everything I’d need if I was going to be away from shore for a few days. The truth is, by the time you’re packing for a race, charter, or weekend cruise, it may already be too late to source that one thing that mysteriously disappeared last season, especially if it needs to be shipped to you. It’s worth it to assess your kit early and often.
