Ocean Reef Aria
In Mexico recently I noticed a guy snorkeling with the coolest mask and snorkel combination I’ve ever seen. It was the Aria from the Italian-based Ocean Reef Group. The mask has a unique design that allows divers to escape almost every negative aspect of the traditional snorkel and mask setup—there’s no more jaw soreness, no more choking on water if you dip beneath the surface, no fogging lenses, and perhaps the biggest game changer, you can breathe naturally through your nose. If that’s not enough, the Aria also features an incredibly large field of view while you’re under water, letting you take in everything you see. There is even an optional dock for mounting a camera and an optical kit that allows you to have a prescription lens installed.
