Every so often you run across a product you never knew you needed, and then you wonder why it took so long for someone to come up with it. Thus it is with the Gelbox line from Raytech. These reuseable plastic boxes for low-voltage connectors are filled with gel, so that your precious connections are immediately sealed off from the deleterious effects of saltwater and damp air. There’s a wide range of them for various applications, some with connectors included, some without, all submersible and available in different colors. I used one when installing a new bilge pump—what a relief to know that these vital connections were truly well protected, with no need to mess about with heat shrink tubing.
