Over the years, Watt&Sea hydrogenerators have steadily evolved to the point where they are no longer used exclusively by grand prix offshore racers, but are also found aboard a growing number of cruising boats. The latest generators in the company’s cruising line are both lighter and more corrosion-resistant than ever through the use of composites. A new mounting bracket also includes a cam immediately forward of the retractable blade to hold it firmly in place, whether it’s in or out of the water. The blade can be locked or unlocked with one hand—not a bad thing when you are hanging out over the transom.
