Curl Up With Two GReat Books

What’s the next best thing to curling up with a copy of SAIL magazine on a snowy winter’s day? Why, curling up with a good book, of course! Holiday shoppers have two gorgeous titles to choose from this year in Ranulf Rayner’s The Story of the America’s Cup 1851-2013 (published by Antique Collector’s Club) with paintings by Tim Thompson, and Nigel Rowe’s Tall Ships Today: Their Remarkable Story (published by Bloomsbury Publishing). The former is the latest edition of this America’s Cup series, which includes fantastic paintings of some of the contest’s most memorable match-ups, right up to Oracle’s incredible come-from-behind win over New Zealand. The latter is a magnificent celebration of modern square-rigger sailing, with photographs from dozens of ships around the world. Truth be told, you can’t really go wrong with either one.
