The Mackinac Island Yacht Club will have its 6th annual MacMan Challenge July 23-25 this summer. The 125-mile distance race runs from Mackinac Island to Manitoulin Island, with a stopover in Gore Bay, before heading on to the finishing line in Little Current, and includes nighttime navigation.

There will be festivities in every port including a cocktail party before the race, dancing, and a fish fry and breakfast in Gore Bay. Awards will be given for each individual leg and the race overall at a dinner in Little Current. There is a spinnaker/genneker class for the more-serious raceboats, a white-sail division for those who want to take things a bit easier, as well as a double handed division for sailors looking to get less sleep and drink more coffee.
