Just prior to the prologue, during which the seven teams competing in the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race will assemble for the start of the race in Alicante, Spain, Team AkzoNobel skipper Simeon Tienpont took some time out to talk about the state of his crew.
This is the first of a number of reports we’ll be receiving from Simeon in the coming weeks and months, as he and the rest of the sailors aboard his Dutch-flagged boat sail around the world toward the finish in The Hague next June.
