The Handy Duck is a strong, lightweight, easy-to-attach and—equally important—easy-to-release hook that can be used to either grab a mooring temporarily or serve as a permanent attachment. Built from plastic composite, it is rated to 3,300lb, making it tough enough for double-duty as a line snubber.
To use simply attach the yellow trigger hook to a 1in-diameter pole and then slide on the Handy Duck and an attached line. In addition to releasing the Handy Duck after it’s secured to a mooring or dock ring, the trigger hook is designed to fit the Handy Duck’s release mechanism, making the Handy Duck easy to detach from a line or ring when it’s time to go sailing again.
