The RORC Caribbean 600 is wrapping up as the final finishers make their way towards Antigua after five days of racing. The 600 nm course starts and finishes in Antigua and takes competitors all around the Caribbean Islands.

The overall winner, Pac52 Warrior Won, finished the race late Wednesday night. Christopher Sheehan, owner and skipper of the boat, said, “I feel so much joy right now. It is very humbling when I think about all of the competitors that have worked so hard in this race, I am overwhelmed. We have been preparing for this race for the last eight months and when I think of the great teams that have won this race, it is just extraordinary.”

Jason Carroll’s MOD 70 Argo won line honors in the multihull fleet as they finished the race in 29 hours, 38 minutes and 44 seconds, setting a fleet record. Close behind was the Multi70 Maserati, finishing in 29 hours, 40 minutes and 57 seconds. This is Argo’s first time winning line honors, after coming in as the runner-up twice before.

Monohull Skorpios, a ClubSwan 125, won line honors early Wednesday morning. Its race lasted 1 day, 16 hours, 39 minutes and 51 seconds. Comanche came in second for the monohull fleet, finishing just over 40 minutes after Skorpios. Skorpios skipper Fernando Ecavarri said, “It has been a very interesting race, demanding for the crew with sail changes and very tactical. The speed of Skorpios has been one of the key ingredients, but also managing the changes as we rounded the islands; especially Guadeloupe where we parked in the wind shadow, but there was enough separation for us to stay in first position.”

After time correction, Comanche finished second overall and beat out Skorpios by three hours and 49 minutes. In the MOCRA fleet, Maserati won with nine minutes to spare after time correction. Argo came in second.
