Athletes Daniela Moroz, CJ Perez and Paul Campbell-James have been added to The United States’ SailGP lineup. Also joining the team will be head coach Philippe Presti.
Moroz is a four-time Formula Kite World Champion and two-time U.S. Sailing Rolex Yachtswoman-of-the-Year. Perez is a skilled competitor from Hawaii’s WASZP sailing circuit. Campbell-James is a British wing trimmer and has four SailGP and America’s Cup campaigns to his name. Presti coached the winning Australia SailGP Team in season one.
Moroz and Perez were both selected through an open application process for recruiting American female athletes as part of the league’s commitment to helping to “create an inclusive future for the sport.”
The announcement comes as the rest of the team gathers in Bermuda for practice ahead of the Bermuda Sail Grand Prix presented by Hamilton Princess, which will occur later this month. The US team’s lineup also includes Rome Kirby, Andrew Campbell, Cooper Dressler and Alex Sinclair.
