This year’s running of the 23rd annual Delta Ditch Run featured something a little different, in the form of an unofficially entered foiling Moth, piloted by Bay-area sailor Johnny Goldsbury. Goldsbury, who started with the catamaran section, finished the 67-mile course from San Francisco Bay’s Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to the Stockton Sailing Club, located alongside the narrow waters of the San Joaquin River, in 5 hours 54 minutes. He says he hopes to have a fleet of Moths doing the Run in 2013.
